Question CPU running at 100%?

The other day I was playing Guild Wars on my new Machine that I built and I realized that my CPU was running at 100%. Is this good or does it not have any affect. I have an AMD 3500+. The other specs are in the Sig.

how did he realise that his cpu was being used 100% if he cant access taskman?

@p8ntballsnyper
It not unusual for you machine to use 100% of its cpu when gaming, i would only worry if it stayed at 100% while your doing nothing

It was Guild wars that was using all my cpu I just had never seen a cpu run at 100% but I haven't checked it when I was gaming. when I'm not doing anything it is like between 0-3% usually. So it running at 100% is fine when gaming?

Yes running 100% while gaming (or doing other high demand tasks) is normal.

anyway, ill add my 2 cents on this subject...
i wouldnt really worry about the cpu usage directly, i mean it is a bitch having that much proccing power and noing ur not gettting the full potential out of it. However, look at ur temps first. See if ur gonna burn out ur cpu so u can really start worrying. TO solve the problem, run the adware remover and spybot and go through closeing some start up proccesses via start > run > msconfig > startup. then uncheck things u dont need. look through ur proccess on the taskmanager and see if ur running an insane amount. I no im not really explaining much here but im in school and dont have a lot of time to be typing random stuff so just ask the guys here about any questions u got...
