Default how can i constrict other users activities?

so I'm giving my little brother my old computer, but the problem is he's a curious little dude and likes to mess around with the settings. So my question is how do i make it where i can not let him access some options? for example at my high school they have it set where you cant right click on the desktop or get into the control panels so students don't make any grave system changes, they also have it where the settings you change aren't saved when you log on again, like if you moved the icons around it would go back to original position when you log back on

and that is EXACTLY what i want to do, so how do i do it? i already made him his own account and I'm the administrator account, by the way I'm running windows me .........yeah i know try to to laugh to hard lol

Your school has a server with either Win2000 or 2003 server edition. These operating systems allow for special rights limiting and things like that. Also Windows XP pro does this too. I've never heard of this from Windows ME... Being that it is probably the crappiest OS ever made, I doubt it has admin privelidges.

I got a way to fix his curiosity!! Tell him that if he messes the computer up by going into the settings, you will reformat the hard drive and make him use DOS. BTW how old is he?

free, i hope he or the company pay the licence fee, just borrowing the cd wont work you need a unique lience key to activate the product.

But once you have xp pro, you can just set yourself up as an admin, create a limited user account for your brother. You can manually restrict access to other stuff later if you so need to. There are tutorials all over the web for this
