Default Easynote b3800 W/LAN uninstalls itself

Hi there,
Bought a Packard Bell Easynote B3800 6 months ago. When i bought it i had problems with the wirless adapter not finding the wireless network......sometimes it would work great and other times it wouldn't work at all. Got well sick of all the Packard Bell software that came with the computer so formatted the hard drive and put a fresh copy of XP SP 2 on.

Installed all of the drivers from Packard Bells website and it all worked great.......for two months.

After two months without a glitch every now and then it would drop the connection.....then after a few weeks it would not recognise the wirless adapter......i re-installed the driver for it and it worked again....for a week or so....then packed in........every now and then when i booted the latop up it would say "new hardware found" so i would have to install the drivers for the adapetr again.....this got more and more frequent untill it was everytime i booted the computer up. Then, the adapter stopped working all together and it would not install the drivers anymore.

I called techincal help.....they told me they couldn't help me until i bought a recovery disc off of them and put the laptop back to how it was when they sold me it. I didn't want to do this due to the expense and due to the fact that their software was awful and when it was running under their software it was running slower than computer i had owned 10 years ago!

I then formatted the hard drive again and installed another fresh copy of XP SP2 and once again it all worked great for 2 months or so........now the other day it has just started buggering about again and it all happening over again. .........its driving me mad as it is obviously a software problem.......i have no software installed that would cause compatability issues (and if i did why would it work okay for 2 months and then start messing about). I have no viruses nor is there any Ad/spyware on my laptop.

Has anyone else come accross this? Can anyone please help me cos pretty soon i'm going to take the hard drive out and smash it to bits!

Cheers

Chris
