Default My LCD picture quality sucks!

I bought a Rosewill R910P and didn't put much thought or research into it....the price was good and that's what I based my purchase on. This monitor has one D-sub connector and no DVI.....this, apparently, is where I screwed up. There are no dead pixels and it is working fine, but the picture is washed out and colors are faded. Some text shows up so light I can't read it even if I highlight it. Is there anyway to make this thing look better or do I just have to live with it? I messed with the settings and used the ATI software to make adjustments, but it's still pretty lousy.

I'm a newbie, so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Did you install the driver and software for the monitor? that may help.. Go to the manufacturers website and get the software.

http://www.rosewill.com/download/index.aspx

undergoing mx right now.. try later.

If you bought it at newegg, i believe you can only return it if it has 8 or more dead pixels.

It's too late to return with nothing wrong with it. I looked through the Rosewill website and couldn't find a driver for it....looked around at other places too and couldn't find anything. So I wrote to Rosewill and asked for some help, so hopefully they can give me a clue about the driver. I really hope it gets better than this because I'm ready to hook my CRT back.

The moral to this story.....RESEARCH, RESEARCH, FRIGGIN RESEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAARCH!!!!!!

Didn't even think of that option. I dont' have another video card to throw in there. My mobo doesn't have AGP and I don't know anyone around me who has PCI-E.

After reading some of the reviews at newegg I'm thinking something is wrong, or more likely, I'm doing something wrong to make the picture so bad. Anyone have any tips on what settings I should use and how best to set this thing up? Or if you can suggest a good place to read up on all that is monitors?

Ummmmmm, okay I just realized that I can plug in my CRT and see how that looks....at least I can try and rule out my vid card. Being a newbie sucks ass.

Also, so far no help from Rosewill. They emailed me back and said they are updating the site, so take a look in a few days. So far no drivers for my model have shown up.

I'm going to start this post off with stating that I'm a dumbass. There, I said it. I used the display tools I downloaded from ATI to adust the display settings and it is MUCH better now. I no longer need sunglasses to look at this thing and I can read text very easily. There does seem to be some patches of blurriness now though....just looks like the text is a bit blurry in 2 small areas.

edit: blurriness seems to have disappeared.....dunno?
