have you tried
a) Booting to safe mode
b) Repairing windows
c) Boot to another hard drive and simply coping the data off??
d) Using the windows repair console on the (i assume xp) cd

Hi.

c)Usually, yes. please get a small case for 2,5" disk that
you can connect to another PC via a USB port, and then
hopefully, you can backup some data. If this does not work,
you can try two other "tricks".
Get your disk connected to another PC as mentionned above and
1.try using Winternals AdminPak
2.try using Ontrack Easyrecovery professional
