make sure everything is properlly connected. also make sure that a cord isnt loose and like getting caught in ur fans or anyhing of that nature. also make sure that ur hard drive is properly secured. it could be ur hd spinning but since its not properly connected then its making a loud noise.

check for spyware malware... You probably have something installed that is hindering your computers speed.. Also a computer is an object, it cant be a he/she...

Yea, i agree with Trizoy. Get some anti spyware program like Adware Se and Spybot. Also have you recently installed a new antivirus program, because that can cause the hard drive noises.
BTW, i think a computer is half machine, half.....not machine. If you say nice things to your computer it tends to work better

does it make a sound like a reving engine? because my computer used to do the same thing... actually just 15 minutes ago or so it did it.

when i go into the task manager to close programs... after i close a certain program the sound goes away

im guessin it probably has to do with the programs that are running on your system

try removing programs you dont use or dont want and see if the sound still occurs.

something i've used in the past has gotten ride of many spyware, trojan, and adware problems
Spyware Doctor

however it caused me problems afterward... but my friend used it and he was fine, so u can take the chance if u want to... tell me how it works out
