Default Windows problem file missing

My computer/laptop is telling me that I need to install windows disk with SP2 on it so it can get a file to make windows work properly. first, I don't have a windows disk with sp2 on it, Windows installed it from there website for my computer. Second, I can't get on the internet with my laptop now. It's saying that a network cable is unplugged. Everything was working great until this message appeared. Any thoughts?

When they say that the network cable is unplugged, basically it means that your internet isnt working. This could mean:

a)Your ISP has had a problem and are fixing it
b)One of your USB related devices is not plugged in properly.

Either way, the best way to sort it out is to just make sure that everything is in the right place and then reboot your pc. If the problem still persists, contact your ISP.

I am running a desktop computer and a laptop with wireless setup. The internet is working fine on the desktop. The laptop is not. So i know the ISP isn't the prob. It just says the router is unavailable.

1. Make sure the router is still allowing the laptop to connect to the wireless.
2. Make sure you don't have WEP on (or make sure someone else didn't turn it on [hijacked connection]).
3. Be sure you have the right connection selected for the wireless (on the laptop).
