Ok, so this is on a friend's computer, not the one in my sig. It's a Dell 1.8 GHz, 256 RAM, Windows 2000 SP 4, GeForce 2 MX and i think this is the sound card (i'm not very good with sound cards) Intel 82801BA/BAM AC '97 Audio Controller - 2445.
A while back, and for no reason i can fathom the computer just started playing all media files at really high speed so they're high pitched and pretty useless. I can't work out what's going on. Any ideas would be much appreciated and if you need more info just ask. Thanks!

It's not just Media Player, it's everything. I've had a look on the web and apparently it's due to using a non-Dell sound card driver. I haven't got access to the computer at the mo but i suspect that is the problem.
