ahhh thanks mate, yeh the specs look pretty sweet on this. How about video cards? I'm going to be using it for quite a bit of 3d modelin with 3dmax n Maya. The system i got now, AMD athlon 1.6 with Geforce 2 MMX resets within 5min after opening Maya or 3dmax. Any tips on a good video card??

A good graphics card for 3D modeling/rendering use is either nVidia's Quadro series or ATi's FireGL series. But the 7800GTX is way much better than the Radeon 9550. I do quite some 3D modeling and rendering myself with Maya 6.5 Unlimited and 3DS Max 7 and the rig I have works really well with 3DS Max 7 and Brazil. But Maya rendering is a bit of a struggle.

if your going to go with that motherboard (its an expensive one, supports dual video cards!) you need a PCI-EXPRESS video card. NOT AGP. i decent budget card for pci-express is the x700pro or the x800gto. if you want performance, i agree with the other post, 7800gtx. x700pro sounds more your card though!
