Keyboard works strangely

I have a lap top and its keyboard has irritated me so much! When I'm writing document the cursor suddenly jumps to a wrong row (many many times) . Then it messes up! It also takes time to correct errors!

What should I do? There is no virus detected as far...

make sure the heel of your hand isnt brushing the touchpad.
an easy solution is to just turn the touchpad off if this is the problem.
