ok got some issues:
I brought a new DVB-T USB2.0 stick by freecom about 2/3weeks ago. Now the problem starts i got my freeview signal splitted into my room (already had it downstairs). So engineer said signal is fine in both downstairs and upstairs. Then connected the aerial to the DVB-T stick only to find that it said the RF Power is low on quite a few channels but fine on others. When im on the channels with the low RF power the picture freezes every second or so and the sound eventually gives out and is non existant. Even when trying to record the picture freezes even more so theres no point in watching it till after the recording has finished. Even the recording has frozen parts and areas without sound grrrrr. I had a look in the DVB-TPlayer (software that came with the stick) settings and it has 'Video Acceleration : Not In Use' which im guessing is why im having so many problems. Heres the settings window (i was on sky three for these settings) : http://img227.imageshack.us/img227/1503/untitled1oo.jpg Now im not sure if its my freeview signal (engineer said its fine and i even connected the cable in my room to my goodmarns box downstairs and it worked fine), My PC which i doubt, i'll put my settings below or its the DVB-T stick itself. I actually had to send the DVB-T stick off to freecom a few weeks back because it wouldnt pick up any signals within hours of me using it to watch freeview. Ive emailed freecom a number of times now for help but they havnt emailed me back dammit!. My PC settings are: Windows XP Professional SP2 AMD Duron 1200mhz Processor 632mb SDRAM memory Nvidia Geforce FX5200 Graphics card (latest drivers) Via AC'97 [Wave] soundcard (latest drivers) Now im thinking of selling the stick on ebay and hopefully make £40 - £50 and buying a new DVB thing for my PC hopefully one that actually works properly. Can anyone suggest anything ? Preferbly that can have video acceleration enabled? Im thinking of this http://www.qvcuk.com/ukgasp/frameset...uk&txtDesc=dvb (The Avermedia one) but i dont know much about it so im looking on yahoo at the moment. Any help would be very much appriciated thanks. KIIS102 Last edited by kiis102; 11-06-2005 at 10:19 PM. |
