Default Laptop freezes

I downloaded a firewall on my laptop (zonealarm) and eva since then ..the laptop freezes up everytime u load it..so nothing works
i tried uninstalling the firewall..but it says i cant cos its already in use but i dont know how 2 shut it..
urghhh
plz help!!!

Boot into safe mode (hold F8 when you boot up) and remove it that way.

you probably have cheap laptop. :{

im afraid even expensive laptops mess around, dell for example there top models seem to mess around frequently

how new is your laptop. it may indeed have insufficient resources to run antivirus along with your version of windows, eg: not enough memory.

if you can access the task bar, there should be an icon in burgundy and yellow with the letters "ZA"

shut it down, or close it by right clicking. then try uninstalling it.

if you can't, restart in safe mode as lord anthrax stated. another reason is if you can press ctrl+alt+del and which process is taking up all the CPU usage at 100% or close to it.
