laptop price

i am preparing to sell my laptop but as i dont know a great deal about computers i was wondering if anyone 'in the know' could tell me what sort of money to expect for this laptop: advent, pentium 4, 2.8 gb processor, 40 gb hard drive with 512 mb ram.

any help would be appreciated, cheers guys....

Is it integrated video? If it is i'd say it should sell for around $600-$700, depending on where you sell it.

maybe if you googled ,, google.com
phrases like buy used advent pent 4........
you could get a good idea of what to sell it for
or just buy used notebooks
to see what your compitition is up to.

I agree with the $600-$700 price. The best way to check is to go to ebay and see what the final price for a comparable laptop is. laptops are being sold every day, and you can get a good price in an auction
I saw an advent P4 2.8 on ebay, that is going for around 300 British pounds, which is close to $600, but there were still 10 hours left for bidding. I expect it will go up to $700 at least...
