Default Need Help With Sound!

Ok, im posting this again, not many people are helping on my other thread, hopefuly you people will know what's wrong... I just reformatted... I believe i have a SoundBlaster soundcard, it says there are no driver updates, but it says no Audio Device on DxDiag and control pannel and such... there IS a yellow exlamationmark thing in the device manager.. there is no volume control in the task bar.. I am hearing NO SOUND, dont give me this "Try pluggingin your speakrs, turn them on, unmute.. ect.." thats not the case, I dont know what is though and I would appreciate IMMEDIATE help.

Do you know what type of soundblaster it is? (Live!, Audigy 2, X-Fi, ect). If its anything newer than a Live! then you should be able to get the drivers from creative.com.

I just downloaded one ( When I pop in the Windows XP Drivers and Utilities disk it says Live! 512V... so I downloaded a driver and I got the error when trying to install " No Sound Blaster card has been found on your computer"

Should I just re-re-reformat AGain again again? - The long 2 hour way, as I did last time which solved nothing.
