Exclamation Urgent Help!

I haven't even had my new pc running for about 2 weeks and i'm already having a number of problems!
1. On rare occasion, the pc can restart without warning.
2. No Java applications can be opened, not even the java control panel or console.
3. I can't turn down the noise on my 56K modem at all. I've tried several different methods.
4. Whenever I log into my account on the PC, I keep getting messages that new hardware has been detected and installed and its always some type of modem. I've disabled my onboard modem in the BIOS but it can still come up at times.
5. My PC has been running pretty slow lately. No real reason that I can think of!

Can anyone please help me resolve the problems listed above. This is Urgent and I need help A.S.A.P!

1. This could be to a cpu overload, and I mean overload. You must have maxed out the cp, ram, psu and the hd.
2. Download this java software, very good, very reliable software.
3.
4. This could be a USB device or some external drive that you may have forgotten to remove.
5. See 1#. If I were you, I would analyse what I use my computer for and look at the system setup and specification and see if it needs an upgrade.

you could also look in device manager for any yellow flagged drivers and update them also disable your modem there as well as in bios

WOW, 2 weeks and all of these problems.

1. Check and see if there is a memory problem (http://hcidesign.com/memtest/) , also see if your motherboard has a new BIOS and read the notes to see what the updates are
2. reinstall java
3-4. Seems like the modem was either never install properly or there is something wrong with it.
5.Run a spyware with with Ad-Aware and SpyBot

Other then that, contact the people who you got your computer from and try to get them to replace it. If you built it yourself, then let's try to figure out what the hell went wrong.
