Default Linux Program

What I'm looking for is a very detailed description of what exactly the Linux program is. I've already received information about it that I'll share with you right now.

LINUX is NOT like windows xp and yes is a free OS. There is also alot of versions of Linux. I think Linux is more like Unix then windows. I can not really speak about linux, my only encounter was with IP COP a security ver of linux I was using as a firewall. You should investigate Linux, google donloadl inux
or just linux. I myself like windows mainly because I very rarley see linux in the work place or on service calls.

All the techs I know that us Linux really like linux. I think it is " roll up your sleeves and get dirty " meaning you can tweak this os, I think you can actually build your own kernel...and build your own OS....still I like windows
I think you should investigate it...it is free, what can you lose , make a dual boot win xp / linux box
