Default Viewing old pages

When I open up Temporary Internet Files or History in Windows I find that I cannot open the files inside.I have History set to 20 days so that is not the problem.Help anyone?

I believe that you will need interent conection to view webpages in the 'Temporary Internet Files' folder.

Well ,I understand what you are saying but I am trying to view pages that have changed over the time since last viewed and I need to see the old version.
Is there a way to do this?
