Exclamation need help with building process..

Hi I just got the rest of my stuff I need to complete
my new comp exept video card/ram/and cpu...

but in the mean-time i decided to get started ..check sig to see what i have
(smily face means i have it on hand)

anyways..i was wondering about the hdd/fans/etc...
im not sure if im hooking the fans up right...
this is what i did...

I took the cords that come out of the power supply..the one with teeth..lol
and hooked it up to the fan..
but the fans have 2x cords..the one for power and another (with out teeth)
do i need to worry about those?

also about the hdd..
i realized that it does not have a socket on back for those (flat slave cords)
only very slmall ones....omg so confused now...
If any1 can tell me how i can upload pics i will asap...(make sure to specify what I should take pic's of to show you)

sry this is my 1st comp that im customizing and i dont want it to xplode on me ....

It's probably because you have a SATA HDD.

I think that you should send us some photos of the connectors. Put the images onto your pc and upload them at: www.imageshack.us. I just want to be sure...

As far as I know, you only have to connect the power cable and the SATA (data) cable for the HDD to work. Don't forget to adjust the jumper settings.

SATA drives dont have jumpers to set...

what about them? install them with the general principle of new-air-in, old-air-out

You plug that into a PCI slot and that lets you control the speed and brightness of a fan (generally speaking, "whoopee")
