Just thought I'd talk a moment about a certain 19" LCD that is geared towards gaming. After many years of using a CRT monitor I decided to take the plunge with the latest release of Viewsonic's Xtreme VX924 19" 3ms. This thing blows me away! Partly because my CRT was on it's way out and the screen was getting a bit fuzzy while reading text. But this thing is perfect while using office apps and surfing the world wide web. But where it excels is gaming! its very fast with a 3ms response (5ms black to white). But where this thing really excels is at other then native resolutions. Native resolution is the average 1280x1024. In games running a game even at 1024x768 looks almost as good as it does at its native resolution and there still is no ghosting present. So anyone holding on to their CRTs because of the troubles with LCD I say go for it
. The colors on this thing is amazing but it's still not recommended to professional graphic artists etc. but for the rest of us that want a sleek design and basic needs will find this a very good choice.![]()

. There was not much technical mombo jumbo in the statement anyhow to make me look twice. Also I just came from using crts for many years so If I say this thing is a decent gaming computer monitor then You might as well believe it . I'm speaking from experience after all...Fellas Please don't turn my thread into a CRT's VS LCD's as that is bullshit. That is not what this thread is about. So lets at least act like adults K? Nice monitor but you should have gone with the Dell 2005FPW, amazing monitors. Can't wait to get mine. And actaully, people saying that LCD's can't even compare should consider taping their mouths shut because you don't know what your talking about.

I got it from a local store called Mega Computer and it cost $478. There are no dead pixels and the image is extremely sharp.
