So my quest has been to hook my TV screen up as my computer monitor. I got a new video card, installed, everything worked great. I screwed something up in my settings (I can't figure out what), and my SECONDARY monitor acts as an extension to my primary monitor screen. What I WANT, and originally had when it was set up, was that both screens showed what I was doing, my pointer, everything, e.t.c (if that makes sense). The only thing my secondary monitor shows is my wallpaper background, and whatever I drag off the screen on my primary monitor. What do I need to change?
second, it seems that if I let my computer go into any sort of sleep mode (after it sits past screen saver for a long time), when I come back, my screen gets all "glitchy" and the colors are screwed up. I am forced to restart my computer for it to be back to normal viewing. What am I doing wrong. Help appreciated. Thanks. |

well the second screen should go into clone mode straight away, try doing the following
right click desktop, goto properties then goto the settings tab click on screen 2 and de-check the box saying "Extend my desktop" click ok does that fix it?

that actually just turns my monitor off. Now that I use this a little more, its actually kinda cool having split monitors, but I still want to be able to have cloned screens. I originally did, but screwed something up somehow.
