Default IBM Recovery Disks

ok about 4 months ago my sisters computer was so cluttered with viruses, spyware and such that we decided to do a complete format and install win xp from a cd that i got from my school. so we did it and now my sister cant install a dvd program or the wireless network to work. my sister has the ibm recovery disks, and was wondering if that would fix the problem of the network and dvd program? also since we have already wipped out the other xp that came on the comp will this make it so that i cant use the recovery disks since there is nothing from ibm to recover? if this wont work first and for most how do i get the drivers for the wireless to work (i took the drivers from my comp copied and installed them on her comp...still no luck) and then how can i get a dvd program to install? any help would be greatly appreciated.

Go into the Bios and change the boot order to CDROM first.
Put the IBM disk in and Power up and follow directions.

Only a clean install will solve your problem.
