Default Knowing how good the mobile processors are

I am getting into laptops, I was wondering if anyone has a link or anything so I can learn about them. what is better for laptops, intel or amd?

I'm guessing on the cpu chips from top to bottom, the best to worst ,pleaase tell me if im correct:

for AMD:
AMD Turion™ 64 Mobile Technology
Mobile AMD Athlon™ 64
AMD Athlon™ 64 for Notebooks
Mobile AMD Sempron™

For Intel:
Intel® Pentium® M Processor
Mobile Intel® Pentium® 4 Processor supporting Hyper-Threading Technology
Mobile Intel® Pentium® 4 Processor
Mobile Intel® Pentium® 4 Processor-M
Intel® Celeron® M Processor
Mobile Intel® Celeron® Processor

Quote:
Mobile AMD Athlon™ 64
AMD Athlon™ 64 for Notebooks
I don't understand what the difference is between them?

for notebooks it goes like this generally:

amd:
turion MT (best amd notebook card with best batt. life)
turion ML (highest line in this clase beats the MT, but batt. life isn't as good)
Mobile semprom/mobile athlon 64 (toss up imo-1st batt. 2nd. preformance)
athlon 64 for notebooks (basically regular athlon 64 thrown in notebook)

intell:
Pentium M (best batt. of mobile processors, and great preformance)
Celeron M (2nd best batt. of intell, ok preformance)
p4 m (p4 that uses a little less power) (little batt. life)
p4 HT (desktop p4) (NO BATT. LIFE)
p4 (deksotp p4) (NO BATT. LIFE)
celeron

So what your saying is all the regular cpus that are used in desktops are crap in laptops?
