Default DoD: Source, worth it?

Im not sure whether to get this or not, i like WWII games but when i played the original DoD i didnt like how much the sniper scope moved (has that changed?). So pretty much what im asking, is Day of Defeat: Source worth paying $20 for?

I say no because all you are paying for is the source engine. If this was free and came with HL2 (like CSS) then it would be good. But for $20... no thanks.

im pretty sure he has CSS, HL2: DM already when he got HL2, he's asking whether to buy dod off steam.

now i dont believe it should be $20 becuase it is a mod and mods are sopose to be free, but it is a good game nonetheless. it just depends if you really really want to play DOD:S. if you dont then dont buy it and play another WWII game like bf1942 or COD.

Ya, i already have HL2, CSS, and HL2-DM.

The current WWII games i have are these: Medal of Honor: Allies Assault, 2 expansions to MOHAA, BF1942, BF2 and CoD.

seems like you like WW2 games alot. so have you ever played dod either the old version or source version at a friends house or a comp LAN place? if you havent its almost exactly like bf1942, you pick a kit and you go capture flags. with only a few minor differences. but kno that since dod is a mod it isnt as good as a real game like MOH and COD.

well i have the original DoD, and i thought it was a good game, not as good as mohaa obviously. But i played it a few months ago and i think the main reason i didnt like it was because of the graphics, so i dont know if i should go for it or not.

you mean MOHPA right? the only game i could further suggest would be CoD2,.. but I think you were getting that game anyway. ( and again,.. i playd them all already, I liked MOHPA the best, just because of the ( back then ) unique gameplay. i didnt really like the MOHAA series after i played MOPHA, because since then i think the engine didnt really fit the game. ( to quake like, same engine a JK2))
