Default Someone please explain PUS and coolers to me!

Hi, I'm thinking of building a computer for the first time-which is quite daunting! Here's the spec:

ASUS motherboard - Socket 939 (AMD 64 compatible)
PCI Express x16 graphics card (although I don't need a very high spec graphic card)
2.8+ ghz processor
1 gig RAM
SATA hard drive (150GB / 200GB)
IDE DVD-ROM drive & IDE DVD+-RW drive
5.1 or 7.1 surround sound (should I get sound card or just use the onboard sound??)
Not sure about speakers

But I'm really unsure about the whole issue of power supplies and coolers! Can someone please help me?

Am I right in believing that the ONLY coolers I will need are ones for the case and one for the CPU? Are there any other coolers that I'll need?

Can someone please explain to me the type of cooler(s) that I need, for the appropriate components above.

Also, will I need a specific power supply for the case and motherboard spec? Or are all power supplies compatible with all motherboards and all cases? Does anyone have any recommended power supplies or coolers?

if the CPU is compatible with the motherboard, does that mean the CPUs heatsink and fan will DEFINITELY both be compatible with the motherboard?

do some cases come with a cooler (fan), as well as a PSU? If so, is it better to buy a case which has both a cooler (fan) and a PSU? Are all PSU coolers (fans) compatible with all motherboards?

Finally, please can someone clarify ALL of the coolers that I'll need - Are the only coolers needed the ones for the CPU and the CASE?

Coolers needed:

One for the CPU - Should be included with CPU (Unless you buy an OEM)
At least 2 fans for the case (1 intake, 1 output).

If the CPU is compatible with the motherboard, then the Heatsink & Fan with the CPU WILL fit.

Not all cases come with Fans.

This ONLY applies to the stock heatsink that comes with the retail CPU. many aftermarket heatsinks are too big and are incompatible with some motherboards.
