Default Sharing Dvd Drive/ Cd drive

I know it is possible to read cd's from a drive from one computer to another through a network but is it possible to burn files to it? because when I insert a blank cd into the drive and try to burn stuff into it from another computer. When clicking on the drive it says incorrect function. And Yes I have clicked the enable burning option on the drive, mapped correctly, and have been able to read from non-emty cd .

hmmm, ive never heard of shared burning but if your on a network then you can share anything, so just set the file you want to burn as shared then go to the PC with the CD-Writer and burn the shared file..... or was that kinda defeating the object of what your trying to do.....
