Default 7800GTX 512 or 256

Im pondering over the decision of wether to get a 7800GTX 512MB or 256MB.

Ill be using my CPU for image editing (Photoshop), web design (a bunch of HTML.... so video card dont matter for that, but ill have Flash too.), heavy browsing and video/dvd watching, downloading, and gaming. (WoW, and CS)

Is the 7800GTX 256MB gonna be able to handle those games and dvds and stuff at MAX settings? Ill have 2GB Ram, and DLI SLI Expert board, with the X2 4200 CPU.

Thanks.

the 7800gtx can really handle anything thrown its way ecspecially with ur sig. but if u have the money and ur not afraid to spend it then go for the 512mb.

WoW and CS are hardly pressing games for current and last generation high end hardware

Prator's right. CS and WoW are not very demanding games. You could get by with a 7800gt or even maybe a 6800gt although the 6800 might not be able to play at full settings.

CS is more demanding than WoW, but as the last 2 people said there not that demanding games. For what you told us, there is no reason to even get a 7800GTX, you should get a 6800GT. It should be able to play CS maxed out (or very close to it).

well for what he will be using it for, the 7800GTX is a waste, if you want one of the newest cards out, go for the 7800GT.

The 512mb at the price it is now is highly unecessary. When it drops to around $599 which is the MSRP, then it will be an outstanding buy.
