Default Help Me Please

I'm new to this so I dunno if this is going to turn out right. I have recently put a copy of Windows XP Professional over the top of my Windows 98 SE. When I start windows up and I log on, the DHCP client does not automatically run even though it is set to Automatic. I have to start it myself. I would really appreciate it if someone knew how to make it start as soon as I log on.
Thanks
Daz
