Monitor Size

I'm looking for a new computer and have seen a bunch of good package deals. I have to decide whether I want a 15" or 17" LCD Flat Panel monitor. The obvious choice here is the 17", but the HP VSxx series I've been looking at does seem to have a huge difference between the two. The 17" is about 1/4" wider but it's like 2 inches taller and it sort of looks funny. The 15" doesn't look all that small. If anyone has either of these what do you think of it. Also what is better a 15" LCD or a 17" CRT?

i would go for 17. my laptop has a 15 inch screen, and my cousin has a 17 inch lcd and it seems like you can see so much more on his.

17" CRT? well, then i'd go for the 15" LCD.

Some packages come with the CRT and some come with the 15" LCD. The 17" LCD is an inexpensive upgrade (less than $100) so I think I'll get it. How is the HP VS17 LCD monitor?

well i would definitely go with the 17" LCD, unless you have budget and/or space restrictions.

dont know about that one though.
