Default Ram... not Dodge

Stupid title... whatever. I need help with RAM.

Im going to get 2GB for sure! 1 is too little, and 3 I dont need.

Im confused on the whole DDR and PC3200 numbers. Can someone tell me what makes RAM better? The DDR lower or higher? PC higher... im almost sure.

Also, can someone post a few links to some GOOD! 2GB RAM... super fast low latency stuff. Either 2GB or 2 x 1GB will both do.

Also, I hear people OC RAM... that increases the PC# I believe... Im getting the board in my sig guaranteed. So work off that. Thanks guys.

yupp your abs right, pc#### is the speed and better higher, the number that goes after DDR is its frequency(the higher the faster).

So why do people always get PC3200.... Do you select RAM by pins?

I usualy like OCZ's products but corsair has really done a good job on these. DDR433 2-3-2-6! Thats the tightest timings I've seen on 1 Gb RAM modules, and its even DDR433. If you bring it down to DDR400 and give it more juice you can probably tighten the timimgs down to 2-2-2-X. Oh yeah and here's the RAM lol: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820145594

Oh yeah its a bit pricey at +$300...

PC3200 is the most popular type of DDR memory. And you should most likely need 184pin memory.

DDR-400 (PC3200) is not the fastest RAM. There is up to DDR-600, however most motherboards only support up to DDR-400 natively.
Some good 1gb DDR-400 RAM is.....

Also if you have the money, the OCZ VX and the Mushkin Redline series are probably your best bet at the moment

Look in my sig. It's DDR433, and will do 260MHz(DDR520) 2-2-2-5 overclocked. Of course stock is 433MHz 2-2-2-5. Oh, and its less than $200...i think it wins hands down.
