Default Sata 1 on mobo but Sata 2 HD

Hi, i'm getting a mobo that only supports sata1, but the hd im getting is a WD 250gig Sata 2, will it still work as a sata 1 drive with the same power/ide connects or no?

yup...the sata 2 drive is backwards compatible....if you have any pata HDs you want to use in a sata ..or you want to use a sata hd in a pata pc, go to ebay they have apadters for $10-$15..i bought one of each...really cool and good to have around.
