my opinion is that half life 2 is the most realistic looking game; especially the the HDR components

I agree, HL2 (IMO) looks like the most realistic. And the HDR looks nice, but there are a few spots where its just too bright.

Although I dont like to admit it, Half-Life 2 (or any source-engine based game) have the best gfx right now. Although I didnt like HL2 that much, I play CSS (same engine) and it looks sweeeeeeeet! Doom 3 also has an amazing Open-GL heavy engine which creates the best lighting and shadows around.

HL2 graphics are not that good
skidude- i have 6600 and i run HL2 at 1024x768 with highest setting, and i run FEAR on 1024x768 with medium setting, and for me FEAR blows up HL2 i terms of graphics. and don't forget that i couldn't run FEAR on highest setting, if u run both games on highest setting, HL2 will not match FEAR graphics in anything |
