I've never knownm but how do you get your own server on 1.6 or source.
And how do you become an admin?

either rent a server, or start your own dedicated server from your PC(you ned a fast connection with a decent upload speed to keep it stable) using tools under your steam cleint tabs.

and to get 'admin' you need a mod to be installed.

I tried downloading the amxmod, but I have no idea how to set it up. I set up the deciated server but no clue on the admin. Can someone pm me with instructions? thanks!
