get the one with service pack 2. its cheaper and it will save you some time, cuz you dont have to download it.

OK my dad is questioning me now all you need to start a Custom build computer is windows and all the parts right?!?!?!?

no, u shouldn't need any other software. Let's just hpe thaat it works without BIOS. According to the case it should. I must say, it would be rather stupid to download Windows XP.

Just a question.
Is this a different computer, or are you planning to wipe your hdd and install?

umm this is going to be a brand new computer all the parts are the ones listed under my posts bios what is that and if it will work should i worry about it?

You can call them and tell them, and they will ussaly give you a new code.

Also OEM just means from the oeiginal manufacuor, and that basicly means it'll be just thw CD, no boes or manuelsor anything, OEM will be the same product and cheaper, i suggest it.

Also yes, you just nee the parts and windows to get your PC running, no other software needed, but remember microsoft word doesn't come with windows XP lol, i forgot that one once and i had to use notepad for a while.

how come i would have to do that? would it be because with a new mobo there is a new bios? and would i have to reformat the hd?

Yah i have Teacher and student addition to! luckally at best buy we got a license for three computer and right now we aree only using 2 so i will get word and everyhitng also!
