7800gtx 256 Vs 7800gtx 512

Does 7800GTX 512 have a huge performance increase over a 7800GTX 256?

If it does not have a huge performance increase, is the 7800GTX 512 worth the price over the 7800GTX256?

Please help I am trying to decide which one to go with on my new build. Thanks

256mbs more

and i think its clocked higher. it a very good card and the card to get if you have 800$ to burn

yea the 512MB version has a higher clock speed and memory speed, and as i heard it has 30% higher performance than the 256MB version.

but it costs about 700$.

imo, not worth it.
im sure you will see a difference but you could spent the extra 200$ on something else like some nice RAM
