Question computer internet prob

i have a prob with my comp when i am connected with a wireless linksys thingy, the internet doesn't work, i am the status is excellent but when i try to go on internet or too play a game on the internet it doesnt work, it disconnects every ten seconds
CAN ANYBODY HELP ME????????????????????

You posted this in the wrong forum but, do you have anything in between the access point/router and you computer that may interfere with the signal?

i dont think so because it doesnt even work when i am 5 inhes away from the router

does your computer disconnect from the access point? is your router connected to the internet? you might want to try upgrading the firmware in ure linksys router via linksys.com. you have to be plugged in via cat 5 to your router to do this.

yeah the router is on my mums comp and it is connected perfectly to the internet and i dont no wh it doesnt work on my comp because it works on my bros laptop and we are in the same house

It could be the problem of low frequency or signal from router. It could be caused by room temperature and some other object that disturbe the signal

na its not that i tried everything i even tried to go in my bros room and it still doesnt work, its really dtarting to pis me off i hate my comp thats why im getting a new one.
