Default Windows Xp Pro Help Plz!

ok i formated my hd because i was havin probs wit it and i was reinstalling windows and when it was going through the setup a mssg pops up saying installation failed E:\ROOT\XPPR\1386\asms. peramiter not correct
i was installin straight from windows xp pro sp2 disk.... any solution to this problem?

is the CD corrupted?

probably is corrupted i dunno... how do i fix it?!?!?

u can try make two parititions and copy all the files from the xpcd to the 2nd partition and run setup from there.

but what if that CD is corrupted then u can't copy all the files, try to get another CD or try that CD on different PC.

How long ago did you get the cd? Was it a reliable source? I would get a refund over in the UK Win XP Pro = £259.99 or online = £203.15.

got it from a friend and i dont know where he got it...
but yeah i had to put me on it which suks really bad and now im having some gfx card probs
