Default is this possible?!

Hi, I was wondering... is it possible to install usb keyboard on my computer, along with the ps2 one... and then use the usb keyboard to control only winamp, even if it is not the program being currently used... i.e.... typing in word on normal keyboard... hit x on usb one... winamp plays... without changing program...

any idea? this would be really useful to create a winamp remote hack-type-thing, but i havent got a clue where to start on the software side of things!

thanks!

Yes, in fact i have a similar setup on my computer to. I use the USB keyboard to do all of my typing, but i use the PS/2 keyboard to control the media functions.

But as far as hitting "X" on the other keyboard, it will just type "X" in your word document. I dont think there is a way to program the keys on your other keyboard, unless there special function keys.

Default great!

ok... great to know!

how would you go about setting up such a system? is it very complicated?

does the media player have to be the foreground application in order for this system to work? (x is actually already the keyboard shortcut for play in winamp, so if the key presses from one keyboard were always directed to winamp, then that should work, right?)

Thanks!
