OMG!!! 2 ms response time! Is that just overkill or is it worth the money? how many hz will this monitor run at?

You won't actually get that unless you're running it at the perfect frequency, even then it might not be that fast. As far as what hertz it will run at, I think that depends on what your video card will put out that it will accept, ut it won't be the one that gives you close to 2ms.

http://images10.newegg.com/NeweggIma...116-375-03.JPG Is Newegg getting cheap on us? LOL

Anyway, my Viewsonic is 8ms, and I'm pleased with it. I don't see why anyone would need anything much faster.

So w/ my card i could get it to run at 200 hz? Does 2ms response time mean the maximum refresh rate is 500!!?? (1000ms / 2ms). I saw it said the vertical refresh and horizontal refresh rate are around 80, so how does that affect the refresh rate? I dont know much about monitors except resolution, contrast an hz.

LCDs don't run in Hz, matt, so no, you won't get that rate. Only CRTs use Hz, and that's because they actually draw the screen line by line(IE the flicker you get sometimes...)

So whats the greatest frame rate i can get? And i thought lcds draw line by line anyway, because when you turn off vertical sync. you still sometimes see half of one frame and half of the other, or 'tearing'.

the maximum framerate has nothing to do with the monitor.
