Default Installing SATA hard drive

I am installing a SATA hard drive in my new system, and I didn't buy a floppy drive. Do I need one for installing the drivers? or can I just use a cd-r with the drivers burnt onto it?

Default

You might not need either, depends on your bios and/or motherboard. I have an intel 925xe chipset on a foxconn motherboard and the sata was plug and play. If you do need drivers, anything new enough to have sata will run the files off cd most likely
