Default Mobo PSU connector problem

I just bought a new system (see sig),and i just realized that the motherboard has a 24-pin and a 4-pin power plugs. My PSU has a 20-pin and a 4-pin cords. What i realized was that my 20-pin fits into the 24-pin socket but there are 4 extra pins. What can i do to solve this? i want to be able to use it today. Can i use the 20-pin power cord in the 24-pin plug?

does your psu also have another 4pin you can add on to the 24pin mobo?

like my psu, you can take off 4pins to make it 20pin.
you should be able to buy an adapter

Yes, however it's not the ideal thing to do since it might bring some stability problems (specially with DFI boards)
