Your log is clean...I think there is an option in windows media player to start when windows start so try to shut that off.
If you cant go into msconfig and do it but I think if you do it that way WMP will find its way back into your startup list.
If you do want to uninstall it and all left over files download ccleaner, uninstall WMP and then open ccleaner and scan for issues and fix all issues found that will clean up your registry.
