Thanks. I didn't get the full log in there with cut and paste so I just edited it. I don't see the option in the windows media player to shut it off. But I will keep looking.

Edit: I haven't found anything yet under windows media options that can stop media player from popping up. It's not just at start up where windows media popups up. Its non-stop popping up that prevents almost all other actions on the computer. If I switch to a new window media player pops back up. I only have a few seconds to type a couple of letters at a time before it sends me back to the media player.
