Unhappy windows xp crash

suddenly i got a problem

I switched on my computer and then opened yahoo! messenger and signed in. suddenly the screen became blue and it appeared for not more than 4 seconds. it said ( as i could read) there is some problem(i can't remember what was that) and to prevent demage windows xp is shutting down. as it said it shud down my computer.

then i restarted the computer but before before i could see the windows xp logo screen, it stopped, i waited 4 or 5 minutes but nothing happened. i tried again the same thing.........nothing could i do. then i pressed del when starting my computer and selected the option 'load fail safe'(like that) and my computer started. and now it is working fine.

now should i roll back what i did, or continue running my computer as it is.

Just do an error scan and keep going as normal.
