Default Need help buying computer

I want to build a computer for gaming. I am willing to spend $2000. I am not very smart with computers, so the help would be appreciated.

Do you need a monitor and keyboard etc or just the computer itself?

well... 2000$ bucks. I can only say get AT LEAST 2 gigs of RAM for your system. If I had more time I would make a system, but I think I saw my boss walk by.

Ok well if you dont need a monitor this would be good:
Motherboard: ASUS A8N32-SLI Deluxe http://www.newegg.com/product/produc...82E16813131568
CPU: AMD Athlon 64 4000+ San Diego http://www.newegg.com/product/produc...82E16819103529
RAM: CORSAIR XMS 2GB (2 x 1GB) DDR 433 http://www.newegg.com/product/produc...82E16820145594
Video card: XFX Geforce 7800GTX http://www.newegg.com/product/produc...82E16814150105
Hard drive: Maxtor DiamondMax 10 300GB 7200 RPM 16MB SATA http://www.newegg.com/product/produc...82E16822144421
Floppy: NEC Black Floppy http://www.newegg.com/product/produc...82E16821152005
DVD burner: Pioneer Black DVR-610B http://www.newegg.com/product/produc...82E16827129169
PSU: PC Power & Cooling 510 SLI http://www.newegg.com/product/produc...82E16817703001

Total = $1,815.23, and $200 left for a case which is enough for a sexy Lian-Li or whatever you want.

If you really do need a monitor then downgrade to 1 Gb RAM, a 3500+, and a 7800GT.

Now I said 2 gigs of RAM, but not THAT good RAM. Here is a link to the same RAM without LEDs:

That ones DDR400, the one I posted was DDR433 at tighter timings
The extra 18 Mhz (33 effective) and tighter timings is gonna come in handy because with the 4000+ a 18 Mhz FSB change is equal to 216 Mhz, meaning you wont have to run on such a low devider... so yes, I'd say its worth the $80.
