Default Standby problem.

- HP 6633C
- Microsoft Windows 98 4.10.2222 A

Deal is, when I go into standby, then go out of standby, I loose communitcation with my modem so I can't go online without restarting. I have AOL, and when I go to dial up to connect to the internet I get "communication port busy or invalid" I figured it was just AOL, but I checked it with other software and got the same deal. Any suggestions? This has always happened, ever since I've had this computer.

Check the pwoer management in Device manager but you are SUPPSOED to lose power to the modem --thets the point of standby

You dumn animal. For a banned Aplucomputer guy you should know you can check individual device power management -- maybe you should get the certification instead of printing it out eh?

Rather, he wants to avoid disconnects when he does

but like i said.... get your certification from an official centre next time, your daddy's inkject printer doesnt count.
