Question Win xp home Vs Pro?

Hi I was hopping some one will tell me the major differences between home and proffesional..

because the price difference is about 50$ Oem....

if some one could plz tell me what are differences it would be nice..

Btw my comp is going to be mostly used for gameing/surfin web and burning cd's/dvd's

i wont be using programs like word or powerpoint or w.e so if the only differences are that you get those work programs then im pretty sure i dont need pro edition.......

I personally think that Home edition will work best for you since you only using it for basic purposes. But I recommend XP Pro, just because its more reliable as far as security, and its more stable.

I've used both editions and I would have to say that I definately prefer XP Pro to XP Home.
Here are more sites that might help you choose...Site 1 (Relatively Long Read) + Site 2 (Not Very Long)

I prefer XP Pro as well, but the main differences are that XP Home is designed for homes (hence the name), and XP Pro is for businesses or homes who have to log onto a domain, or need advanced networking features. If you only use the basic stuff in windows, you most likely wont notice a difference.
