Hi,
I have just made a system recovery to my notebook (Windows XP). The names of each icon on the desktop is underlined. This makes it easier to open the program or file with just one click. But is there a way to undo the 'underline' function? I right-clicked on the desktop and went into the properties but couldn't seem to find that function. Please help. Thank you. Ben |

Oh, I had this prob at one time...Open a folder (i.e. My Documents)> Tools> Folder Options> In the "Click items as follows" section, select the 'Double-click to open an item (single-click to select)' option> Click OK.

Hi. Thanks OS Dragon.
But I am not referring to the ones in the folders. Its those on the desktop. There are names for folders but also shortcuts for programs. The names like Internet Explorer or Word etc are underlined and I want to know how to disable them. Please help. Thanks. Ben |

Ben the procedure that I showed you also extends to the desktop...opening the folder was just a way to get to Windows Folder Option. Make sure that when you get to the Folder Option Dialogue Box it is set like this:
