A graphic card peformance mainly depends on the graphic chipset or the memory ? Like ATI RADEON 9800 128 MB RAM AND 9600 256 MB RAM , please give me the best choice. Let say if i buy either one of this stuff for a contented graphic gameplay and less lagging game speed.

Radeon® 9600 technology is available in four product configurations built by ATI: Radeon® 9600 XT, Radeon® 9600 PRO, Radeon® 9600 and Radeon® 9600 SE. Product comparison
Radeon® 9800 technology is available in five product configurations built by ATI: Radeon® 9800 XT, Radeon® 9800 PRO 256MB, Radeon® 9800 PRO 128MB,Radeon® 9800 128MB and Radeon® 9800 LE 128MB. Product comparison u get more graphic performace if the card has more pipelines and also the higher memory clock speed, high gpu clock speed isn't so important as the mem clock speed but of course the higher the better :-), and the best card out there for not so much money would be radeon 9800 pro the 128MB edition, it doesnt have to be ATI brand but i think that thats the best choice |

doesnt more memory mean it will handle games with better/higher detailed textures faster?
