Default Operationg speeds

I was just wondering... Mac and Windows, 2 huge companies, with mac slowly doubling its market sharing on operating systems in the last 5 years, how come it is still has a slower processer speed,

someone told me a mac speed of 1.33mhz on a laptop, is like 2mhz on windows system, is this true

Its actually Ghz, and its hard to compare an Apple's CPU to one on Windows. its like AMD to Intel, im not firmiliar with apple's processors, but i wouldnt think that a 1.33Ghz apple is equivalent to a 2Ghz intel/amd.

its true that apple has an effiecient processor when compared to some X86 systems but that'll change soon cos apple are gonna be using intel systems.

Well what do you want to compare it at? Games, multi-tasking, video encoding...?
