To change which boot screen its boots with, you need to open up device manager byr right clicking "my computer" and clicking properties. Then click advanced. Now the window should be "split" into 3 boxes with settings on the right of each box. Click the 3rd settings box. Now, click the drop down box and it should show 2 different things. "Microsoft Window Xp home" /fastdetect.
This is the default windows screen, so click the other one. There should also be 2 check boxes with 30 seconds in the box next to it. Uncheck the top box. Click apply and ok, now when you boot it should be the custom boot screen.

As for the theme, what program did you use to install it?

i really would NOT recommend themxp. they bundle their downloads with advertising.

go to wincustomize.com

download "bootskin" that will solve your boot skin issues(even though you already have resolved it, it is a much much easier way)

download "windowblinds" that will help with your skin customization. they should have the same skin or similar one that of your stylexp skin.
